Ph.D. Candidates

We welcome interested candidates to do your Ph.D. with us in the field of nanomedicine. To indicate your interest, please send your CV, together with a one-page research proposal to Dr. James Kah. Thereafter, candidates need to apply directly to the NUS Department of Biomedical Engineering or the NUS Graduate School for Integrative Sciences and Engineering (NGS) for admission into the Ph.D. programme first before they can be admitted to the lab. Scholarships with stipends are available with both the department and NGS.

For other scholarship opportunities, interested candidates should visit the various websites and contact Dr. James Kah with your CV and one-page research proposal to express interest in application. Applicants without these two will not be considered.

Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP)

The Nanomedicine & Nanobiology Lab is also looking for highly motivated undergraduates majoring in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or engineering related fields to take on UROP projects. Projects typically involve wetlab work on nanoparticle synthesis with some spectroscopy, and are hands-on. Interested candidates should visit the NUS Engineering UROP website and browse for projects by Dr. James Kah.

Internships

We also welcome international students who are interested to visit Singapore to do a short-term internship or NUS students from other faculties to conduct research in the Lab during semester break. Interested candidates should contact Dr. James Kah with your CV and a one-page research plan of what you hope to do in the internship. Applicants without these two will not be considered.
