Postdoctoral Fellow Positions on GUSTO study

Job description:

Growing Up in Singapore Towards Healthy Outcomes (GUSTO) is the most comprehensive birth cohort study over the world. The GUSTO mothers were recruited during pregnancy between 2009 and 2010. We have followed the GUSTO family since then. The GUSTO study collects the unique data on cognitive functions, children behaviors, psychopathology, and brain imaging at multiple points from birth to 7 years of age. We aim to study whether mother’s mood, diet, and family lifestyle since pregnancy affect 1) their babies’ cognitive and brain development; 2) psychopathology later in life. We also aim to examine the role of genetics in such maternal influences. We are looking for postdoctoral fellows who are interested in the GUSTO study.

Requirement:
  • PHD in Cognitive Neuroscience, or Psychology, or Imaging Genetics;
  • Experience with MRI-based neuroimage techniques;
  • Knowledge in statistical analysis is necessary;
  • Good communication and writing skills in English language;
  • Knowledge in longitudinal analysis will be plus plus.

Postdoctoral Fellow Position on Imaging Genetics of Infants

Job description:

Laboratory For Medical Image Data Sciences at National University of Singapore (http://www.bioeng.nus.edu.sg/cfa) focuses on brain and cognition studies using neuroimaging techniques. Our group is leading a large-scale longitudinal neurodevelopmental project from birth onwards in Singapore. The project examines neurocognition using EEG and eye trackers, brain development using diffusion tensor imaging (DTI), resting-state fMRI, and structural MRI, genetic and epigenetic influences on cognition and brain. Thus far, we have collected both functional and anatomical imaging as well as genetic and epigenetic data of 200 newborns and their follow-up at six months. The follow-up scanning at 4, 6, and 8 years will start soon. We are looking for a research fellow who is interested in developing and (or) employing pattern recognition approaches to understand the relationship of the brain with psychopathology in early life and how environmental factors and genetics influence such relationship. Or the candidate is interested in developing spatial-temporal analysis tools for this longitudinal datasets.

Requirement:
  • Ph. D or MD
  • Neuroimaging Research background is preferable but necessary
  • Knowledge in multivariate statistical analysis is necessary
  • Good communication and writing skills in English language

Postdoctoral Fellow Position on a Multi-Modal Neuromaging Study

Job description:

National University of Singapore (NUS) is a leading global university centre in Asia. It offers a global approach to education and research, with a focus on Asian perspectives and expertise. Laboratory For Medical Image Data Sciences at NUS (http://www.bioeng.nus.edu.sg/cfa) focuses on brain and cognition studies using neuroimaging techniques. Our group is leading a large-scale aging neuroimaging project from birth in Singapore. The project examines neurocognition, high angular resolution diffusion imaging (HARDI), resting-state fMRI, and structural MRI. We are looking for a research fellow who is interested in multi-modal MRI studies in aging, especially, who is interested in understanding aging processes of anatomical and functional connectivity and their relations with cognition as well as genetic regulation on aging brain processes. We offer high salary with medical and other benefits.

Requirement:
  • Ph. D or MD
  • Research background on infant brain is preferable but necessary
  • • Knowledge in statistical analysis is necessary
  • Good communication and writing skills in English language
