Enhanced Bidirectional Brain Machine Interface (BxI) – Integrating Human with Machines

The researchers of this project will provide deeper insights into neural mechanisms underlying brain machine interface and algorithms used for decoding physiological signals. Moreover, an enhanced bidirectional brain machine interface system will be developed, with which users could map their mental activities and body movements onto a humanoid robot in a more natural and realistic manner.

  • Manage the development of flagship product towards market launch within stipulated timeline and budget, with multi-disciplinary team of engineers, doctors, clinical CRO, regulatory consultants and manufacturers
  • Supervise the execution of First-In-Human clinical study of flagship product with multi-disciplinary team of CRO, doctors and engineers
  • Create, modify and manage technical dossiers in accordance to ISO13485 or US QSR requirements
  • Implementation of ISO13485 quality systems
  • Manage regulatory submission process with regulatory consultants.
  • Work closely with product development engineers & contract manufacturers on implementation of manufacturing process
  • Work closely with company management, doctors, hospitals and reimbursement consultants on product business model and price points
  • Work closely with R&D engineers, nephrologists, surgeons, nurses and patients on product feedback and design refinements
  • Support pre-clinical study for research or product development purposes
  • Support engineering or validation and verification tests for research or product development purposes
  • Support prototyping or bench tests for research or product development purposes

Job Requirements:

1) Senior R&D Engineer

  • BS, MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering / Bioengineering or related field
  • Minimum of 4 – 6 years experience in R&D in medical devices
  • Must be proficient in designing and executing animal pre-clinical studies
  • Experience in R&D of medical implants and/or cardiovascular devices preferred
  • Track record of invention and knowledge of IP a strong plus
  • Enjoys fast-paced, dynamic, hands-on startup culture
  • Passionate about solving big problems for the world in a small team environment


2) Program Manager

  • BS or MS in Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 6 years experience in product development in medical devices
  • Must have experience in product development lifecycle from bench to regulatory clearance
  • Must have experience in management of project timelines and budget
  • Proficiency in technical writing strongly preferred
  • Experience in development of CE Class IIb / FDA 510k medical implants preferred
  • Experience in coordinating medical device clinical studies / working with doctors in a hospital environment a strong plus
  • Enjoys fast-paced, dynamic, hands-on startup culture
  • Passionate about solving big problems for the world in a small team environment
